COVID-19 Update

We are excited to be back in the dojo training together again.

There is no longer a requirement to wear masks in our dojo for training. However, if you feel more comfortable training in a mask, we encourage their use. If you feel like you might have a cold or fever, please come to class when you are feeling 100%. Would love to see you then!

Please reach out if you have any questions regarding this policy.

Adult classes are offered three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Classes for children and younger adults, are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays. Classes are open and visitors are welcome. If you are interested in training, come in for a free class and see our specials.

Taijutsu (Body Arts)

Taijutsu or body arts, are Aikido techniques that are performed empty-handed and completed with a training partner. Most techniques finish with a gentle pin or throw, with one partner taking a safe forward or backward roll.

Aiki-Ken and Aiki-Jo (Weapons)

Weapons Training or Buki-waza (tools of the way) practices involve a wooden sword (Aiki-ken or bokken) or a wooden staff (Aiki -Jo). These practices are fun, challenging and are very helpful if you have a physical condition or injury that might prohibit you from practicing body arts. They are directly linked to the body arts so you will be learning the key fundamentals of Aikido without taking falls or rolls. We provide both bokken and jo if you did not have your own.
